The Ozone Access is a bullet proof kite, ideally for days when the wind is blasting, or for trainer days for beginners. Here I am flying it into 20knots on the Old Man Range.
The Old Woman range put on amazing sunset after a blowing hard all day. We kited occasionally around areas of tussock showing through the snow, but there was plenty to kite on, and the warm weather gave a spring corn feel to the snow.
Sometimes a few toys have to be used to get 5-6 people snowkiting in an efficient manner.
These pics were taken June 16 ish on the Old Man Range, accessed via Symes Rd near Alex. We also have a trailer for the tracked quad which gets a lot of people into the hills very quickly, along with equipment. Its available also for film hire work.
The snow has just become deep enough to kite the Pisa Range. Access is via the SnowFarm facility. Please go into the SnowFarm office and record your vehicle's reg and also pay $20 for the road use.
The snow was very light and fluffy with little base but I didn't really fall through when kiting with an Ozone Chrono V2 in light winds. Since melting has removed a fair bit of the snow, and I was able to walk on grass to the Bob Lee hut, and then since then, some more snow has fallen.
